Victim / Survivor Forum and Candlelight Ceremony Sunday April 25, 1999 1-4pm Howe Community Center Rutland, VT
Small and Large group facilitated discussions. This event will provide an opportunity for victims of crime to discuss Victims' Rights in Vermont: the guarantees and the extent to which they are actually provided. Agency leaders will be on hand to hear directly from victims about their priorities and needs with regard to victims' rights.
The discussion will be followed by a Candlelight Ceremony honoring and remembering Vermont's victims of Crime. The day will end with refreshments and music.
Sixth Annual Victims Rights Awards Ceremony Wednesday April 28, 1999 1pm Noble Hall Lounge Vermont College Montpelier, VT
This event is co-sponsored by the Vermont Center for Crime Victim Services and the Vermont Network Against Domestic Violence. Each year, awards are presented to those who have advocated on behalf of crime victims and to survivors who have themselves spoken out for victims' rights. This year, a new award will be presented to a coalition which has exemplified collaborative effort in the field of victim services. Refreshments will be served.
